New Delhi [India], Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday expressed happiness over the 2024 Lok Sabha election results and said she is most proud of Uttar Pradesh.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, "I am very happy... I want to tell the people of UP that they have shown a lot of wisdom. I am most proud of UP..."

It is noteworthy that in Uttar Pradesh, BJP is ahead on 31 seats, while its allies Rashtriya Lok Dal and Apna Dal are ahead on two and one seats respectively. This is much less than BJP's 2019 tally, when it registered a massive victory by winning 62 out of 80 seats.

India Bloc has registered a strong performance and Samajwadi Party and Congress are leading on 38 and 7 seats respectively.

Meanwhile, Congress's KL Sharma won the Amethi seat against BJP leader Smriti Irani. She said that she has given 10 years of her life to Amethi and will continue to serve this area in the times to come.
