New Delhi, New York-based restaurant Sona is closing, 10 months after actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas withdrew her association with the outlet as co-founder.

The establishment shared the update on its official Instagram page on Wednesday, saying that Sona's last service will take place on Sunday.

Chopra Jonas collaborated with her friend and former business partner Manish K Goyal to open the joint in 2021, while Covid-19 restrictions were still in place.

“After more than three remarkable years, Gold will be closing. We have great gratitude for everyone who has come to our doors. It has been our greatest honor to serve you.

"Thank you to our dedicated team who provide delicious food, smiles and warmth every day. Sona's final service will be lunch on Sunday, June 30. We hope to meet you for a final meal or drinks. Our doors and arms open Are," Sona's post read.

Chopra Jonas, who is currently shooting in Australia for her upcoming film "The Bluff", parted ways with Indian cuisine restaurant Sona last August.

Sona, which means 'gold' in Hindi, got its name after a suggestion by the actor's husband, singer Nick Jonas.
