New Delhi, President Draupadi Murmu will visit Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay National Institute for Physically Handicapped Persons here on Thursday.

During her visit, the President will pay tribute to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, after which she will formally plant a sapling, symbolizing growth and renewal, on the campus of the Institute.

According to an official statement, President Murmu will then proceed to inspect the Prosthetics and Orthotics workshop, emphasizing the importance of rehabilitation services in improving the lives of persons with physical disabilities.

Her visit will also include a visit to the Cross Disability Early Intervention Centre, where she will interact with the children undergoing treatment, learn about their health progress and the effectiveness of the institute's interventions.

A cultural program has been organized for the President highlighting the talents and achievements of children with disabilities, showcasing their diverse skills and abilities.

After the presentations, President Murmu will address the children and staff of the institute, the statement said.
