Over the last decade, several government schemes have led to greater economic empowerment of women," she said.

The President said that over the last ten years, most of the four-crore houses of the Prime Minister Awas Yojana had been allocated to women beneficiaries.

“Now, at the beginning of the government's third term, construction of three crore new houses has been approved. Most of these houses will be allotted to women beneficiaries,” he said.

"In the last ten years, ten million women have mobilized into self-help groups. My government has launched a comprehensive campaign to convert three million women into Lakhpati Didis. For this, financial support to the groups is also being increased. self-help," he said. .

The government is committed to improving skills and income sources and improving respect for women, he said.

The NAMO Drone Didi program is helping to achieve this goal.

"Under this scheme, women belonging to thousands of self-help groups are provided with drones and are also trained as drone pilots," he said.

The President also noted that under the Krishi Sakhi Initiative, 30,000 women belonging to self-help groups have so far been awarded Krishi Sakhi certificates.

Krishi Sakhis is being trained in modern agricultural practices so that they can help farmers further modernize agriculture.

He also mentioned the popularity of the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, under which girls are offered a higher rate of interest on their bank deposits.

"Women are also benefiting immensely from schemes that provide free ration and gas cylinders at affordable prices," he added.

The President mentioned Prime Minister Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana under which electricity bills will be reduced to zero and revenue will be generated through the sale of electricity.

He said that more than one million families have already registered under this scheme in a very short time.
