Ayodhya (UP), President Draupadi Murmu reached Ayodhya on Wednesday to visit Ram temple.
"President Draupadi Murmu arrives in Ayodhya. Governor of Uttar Pradesh Smt. Anandiben Patel welcomes the President at Maharishi Valmiki International Airport," the official handle of the President of India said in a post on Twitter.
A photograph of the President with the Governor was also shared with the post.
According to a statement issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday, the President will pay "darshan" and participate in "aarti" at Sri Hanuma Garhi Temple, Prabhu Shri Ram Temple and Kuber Tila.
She will also perform Saryu puja and "aarti", the statement said.
This is Murmu's first visit to the newly constructed temple, the consecration ceremony of which was held on January 22.
