BJP leaders on Thursday took stock of the preparations for PM Modi's public meeting to be held in Sancole, South Goa.

CM Sawan said, "People are eager to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's public meeting. Around 50,000 people will gather. This will have a positive impact on both the Lok Sabha seats of the state. Our lead will increase after the meeting."

BJP Goa unit president Sadanand Tanawade, while talking to reporters, said that his party will win both the seats.

Tanawade said, "We will also hold a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. We are getting good response from across the state."

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Union Minister Shripad Naik from North Goa and industrialist Pallavi Dempo from South Goa.

Voting in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections in this coastal state will be held on May 7.
