Bengaluru: Just a month after leaving the country, Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, facing allegations of sexual harassment by several women, has said he will appeal before the Special Investigation Team probing the cases against him on May 31.

"I will personally appear before the SIT on Friday, May 31 at 10 am and cooperate in the investigation and respond to it (allegations). I have faith in the court and I am confident that I will get the false cases out through the court. I will come." , Pagewal said in a video statement broadcast on Kannada TV channel Asianet Suvarna News.

There was no immediate independent confirmation on the matter from JD(S) or the family of the suspended party MP.

He said, "May the blessings of God, people and family be upon me. I will definitely appear before the SIT on Friday, May 31. After coming, I will try to end all this. Trust me."

Prajwal, 33, grandson of JD(S) patriarch and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and NDA candidate from Hassan Lok Sabha constituency, faces multiple allegations of sexual misconduct with women.

Prajwal reportedly left for Germany on April 27, a day after Hasan's voting and is still absconding. Following the SIT's request through the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), a 'Blue Corner Notice' seeking information about his whereabouts has already been issued by Interpol.

A special court for elected representatives issued an arrest warrant against Prajwal Revanna on May 1, following an application filed by the SIT. The Congress-led Karnataka government has urged the Center to cancel his diplomatic passport.
