Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], Suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna on Wednesday filed a plea for anticipatory bail in the alleged obscene video case. The bail plea has been filed in the Bengaluru sessions court. Earlier, Prajwal Revanna said in a self-made video released on Monday that he would appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for questioning on May 31. Revanna said his visit was pre-planned as there was no case against him when Karnataka went to the polls for the general elections on April 26. He also alleged a political conspiracy against him as he was "rising in politics.According to officials, Revanna's location is still unknown and he is believed to be in Germany. The SIT had arrested two main accused in connection with the case earlier in the day, police said. The arrested have been identified as Naveen Gowda and Chetan. According to police sources, the accused were arrested when they appeared before the High Court seeking anticipatory bail. Meanwhile, arrested Chetan Gowda and Naveen Gowda allegedly distributed pen drives containing videos of Prajwal Revanna sexually assaulting women. The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday reserved orders on the anticipatory bail plea filed by Bhavani Revanna, mother of Prajwal Revanna, in the kidnapping case in which her husband was earlier arrested, with Bhavan seeking relief from arrest by the SIT. The case has been filed in the court against five, including Prajva Revanna's husband and father, HD Revanna HD Revanna was earlier arrested in a kidnapping case on April 29.He was granted conditional bail by a special court for public representatives. The case, registered at Holenarasipura Tor police station on April 28, involves allegations of sexual assault by Revanna and his son Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna on a woman who worked in their house.
