The team of former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, former UP DGP and BJP Rajya Sabha member Brij Lal, former Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Kavita Patidar has suggested in its report to extend the tenure of the Central Armed Police. Army (CAPF) deployed in West Bengal.

The team also suggested that the Center should take punitive action against bureaucrats who had allegedly acted as 'facilitators' to execute state government orders such as shutting down water supply.

The report suggests that all concerned national commissions should visit the affected places, take cognizance of the matter and provide compensation in genuine cases.

Apart from suggesting security assurance for all BJP offices in Bengal, the fact-finding team also called for providing financial assistance to families seriously affected by the post-poll violence in the state.

During the team's visit to Bengal earlier this month, Ravi Shankar Prasad said Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has no respect for the country's democratic systems, although her party Trinamool Congress often accuses the Center and the BJP of violating democratic norms. Keeps accusing.

Biplab Kumar Deb, another member of the team, had cautioned that if anyone thinks that Trinamool will remain in power in West Bengal, he is wrong.
