The report presented before the division bench of Justice Kaushik Chanda and Justice Apurba Sinha Roy said that the office of the Director General of Police received 560 complaints of post-poll violence from June 6 to June 12.

Based on those complaints, Bengal Police registered 107 FIRs.

The report said that while 92 complaints had no substance, preliminary investigation by the police in 114 complaints revealed that no crime had been committed.

According to the report, 88 complaints were repeats of earlier complaints, while 18 complaints had no connection with the post-poll violence.

In the case of three complaints, the sender was anonymous.

The report said that the remaining 138 complaints are in the preliminary investigation stage and necessary legal steps will be taken in those cases after the completion of the preliminary investigation.
