Pune: The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) on Wednesday extended till June 12 the remand of a teenager allegedly involved in a car accident here that claimed two lives in the city, while another court issued a bail order to his parents' police. Custody extended.

In a related development, the police told the court that the forensic laboratory report has confirmed that the mother's blood samples were used in place of the teenager's samples after the accident.

Two IT professionals were killed in Kalyani Nagar here on the morning of May 19 when a Porsche car allegedly driven by a 17-year-old boy hit their two-wheeler. Police claim that the teenager was under the influence of alcohol.

But JJB granted bail to Kishore, son of real estate developer Vishal Agarwal, hours after the incident and asked him to write a 300-word essay on road safety.Following the outcry, the police again approached the JJB, which amended the order and sent the juvenile to the observation home till June 5.

Earlier this week, the police had contacted JJB and sought extension of his remand by 14 days.

Elsewhere, the sessions court extended the police custody of the teen's parents Vishal and Shivani Agarwal till June 10 on the request of the police.

Two doctors and an employee of Sassoon General Hospital here were arrested last month for allegedly altering the minor's blood samples to show that he was not drunk at the time. It is alleged that one of these doctors was in contact with the girl's father.The girl's mother was arrested on June 1 on charges of conspiracy. Police on Wednesday produced the minor's parents, two doctors and a hospital employee in the court after their police custody ended.

The prosecution told the court that a report from the Forensic Science Laboratory has confirmed that Shivani Agarwal's blood samples were used in place of her son's blood samples.

The court also extended the custody of doctors and hospital staff till June 7.
