There are many such books related to Pali grammar etc. which are currently not available in Devnagari and need to be translated and published.

Similarly, publication of special Pali texts and magazines will also be done through this institute, an official said.

"In accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, the Indian government and the University Grants Commission, the Adarsh ​​Pali Research Institute will be established on the Lucknow campus for study, teaching, training, research and promotion of Pali. It is worth mentioning that the work "Translation and research of Pali Tipitaka literature has already been carried out at the Pali Studies Center on campus since 2009," said campus director Sarvnarayan Jha.

Jha said, "After approval from the Ministry of Education, Indian government, a notification will be issued as per the rules. The institute will function on campus for the time being."

Thanks to the efforts of CSU Vice-Chancellor Srinivas Varkhedi, the Pali Studies Center will now be upgraded and given the shape of an ideal Pali research institute.

Replying to a question, Jha clarified that in future, for systematic implementation of this institute, apart from the post of director, the selection process will be started for the posts of associate professor, assistant professor and various administrative posts.

Along with this, the selection process for various temporary positions will also begin.

Chairman of Buddhist Philosophy and Pali School Ram Nandan Singh said, "At Adarsh ​​​​​​Pali Shodh Sansthan, books will be prepared in a simple way to teach Pali."

It will conduct various types of certification and diploma courses related to Pali and Buddhist literature, and training classes will be organized in different parts of the country to teach the Pali language and its grammar.

"Instructions have been received from the university headquarters to execute the project of writing 'Brihad Itihaas of Pali Literature' through this institute. There is a plan to prepare more than 100 monographs based on the characters of great men and scholars who tried to revive the Pali language and literature after the Renaissance," he said.
