Kolkata: The Kolkata Police investigation team formed to probe the sexual harassment allegations leveled by Governor CV Anand Bose against a woman employee will speak to witnesses in the next few days, a senior official said on Saturday.

He said investigators have already requested Raj Bhavan to share the CCTV footage.

"We have formed an investigation team that will speak to some potential witnesses in the case in the next few days. We have also requested Rao Bhavan to share CCTV footage, if available," the officer said on Saturday.

A contractual female employee of Raj Bhavan on Friday lodged a written complaint with Kolkata Police accusing Benga Governor of sexual harassment at Raj Bhavan.

Under Article 361 of the Constitution, no criminal proceedings can be initiated against a Governor during his tenure.

Incidentally, the Raj Bhavan has issued a statement saying that Bose has ordered a ban on police entry into the Raj Bhavan "under the guise of an unauthorized, illegitimate, sham and motivated investigation to please political masters during elections". .
