Srinagar: Police on Sunday seized a residential property in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district which was allegedly used to shelter terrorists. A police spokesperson gave this information.

"In a significant step to combat terrorism, the police in Pulwama have seized property worth lakhs under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act," he said.

A single-storey house in the Monghama area was reportedly used by the terrorists for shelter and other logistics support, which was provided by the owner of the property, Mohamma Latif Kar.

"The property is now subject to official seizure, with any transfer, lease disposal or alteration prohibited without the prior permission of the designated authority," the spokesperson said.
