Jammu: In the wake of the recent terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 10 people, including seven pilgrims and a CRPF jawan, were killed and several others were injured, the police on Sunday conducted a comprehensive security review of a popular shopping mall here. .

A spokesperson said a security assessment was conducted at Wave Mall in the city.

The official said the review focused on perimeter security, parking area management, floor security, access control, crowd management, crowd clearance and the effectiveness of the mall's security personnel.

Kishtwar Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Abdul Qayyum and Deputy Commissioner Devansh Yadav also led a comprehensive briefing session, which was attended by magistrates and senior police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) officials, he said.

The spokesperson said strategic directives were issued to strengthen preparedness and ensure seamless inter-agency cooperation.

He said that a joint citywide flag march was also organized under the leadership of the SSP to disseminate important security information and promote a sense of collective responsibility among the citizens for the smooth and safe celebration of the upcoming festivals.
