Hyderabad: The Mancherial district police have registered a case against a school correspondent and principal for allegedly objecting to some students coming to the institute wearing 'Hanuman Diksha attire' in Kannepalli village, about 25 km from here.

According to Dandepalli police, based on the complaint by the parents of the students, sections 153 (A) (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion or race) and 295 (A) (insulting religious feelings) were registered against them. Blessed Mother Teresa High School management on Wednesday said that two days ago the principal asked the students to bring their parents after noticing that they were wearing saffron attire instead of uniform.

Later, according to video footage provided by the school correspondent, a group of people demanded an apology from the school management and some angry protesters allegedly vandalized the windows of the school on Tuesday. He said the protesters reportedly demanded an apology from the reporter.
