Mumbai: Police on Tuesday found Rs 60 lakh in cash in two parcel packets that arrived in Nagpur-CMST Duronto Express. An officer gave this information.
The parcel was checked by the Railway Protection Force at platform number 17 after the arrival of the train, an official said.
"During checking, the RPF team noticed a suspicious packet and informed the Government Railway Police officer. The parcel was opened which contained Rs 4 lakh," he said.
He said that the Income Tax Department was informed and when the police started investigating other parcels, they found another packet containing Rs 20 lakh.
He said that the cash has been handed over to the Income Tax Department.
