Prayagraj (UP), Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) belongs to India, and "we will take it back".

Shah was addressing an election rally in Prayagraj to seek votes for BJ candidate Neeraj Tripathi.

"Farooq Abdullah and Mani Shankar Aiyar say respect Pakistan because I have the nuclear bomb... Rahul Baba, today from the holy land of Prayagraj I will say that this PoK is ours, will remain ours and we will take it back." He said this while referring to Aiyar's nuclear bomb comment, which has created a political controversy.

In a purported video clip that went viral on social media, Aiyar was heard saying that India should respect Pakistan because it is a sovereign nation and should engage with it because it also has the nuclear bomb.

While Aiyar has said that the video was old and has become stale now as the BJP's election campaign is faltering, the Congress has said that it completely disagrees with the comments made by Aiyar a few months ago.

Shah also said that the opposition alliance has been wiped out in four phases of the Lok Sabha elections.

He said, "Four phases of voting have been completed. In these four phases, 'IND alliance' has been wiped out and Modi ji is fast moving towards crossing 40 (Lok Sabha seats)."

The main contest in Allahabad is between BJP's Neeraj Tripathi, son of former West Bengal Governor and UP Assembly Speaker Keshari Nath Tripathi, and Ujjwal Ram Singh, son of former Samajwadi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Revati Raman Singh.

Voting will be held in the sixth phase in Allahabad Lok Sabha constituency on May 25.
