Muzaffarabad [POJK], Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) leader Khawaja Mujtab Bande has spoken out against the "atrocities" committed by the enforcement agencies in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) and said the administration has "behind his Stabbed". They called off their protest after being given some assurances. Bande, while addressing a meeting of local political leaders and general public, also asked how the demands of the people will be raised in future as the administration remains ignorant and repeatedly- Bar has stabbed him in the back. During the recent protests when our people raised their voice against the public administration, our people were lathi-charged and our people got injured at the hands of law enforcement agencies. Violence against innocent people demanding their rights is a cowardly act. There is nothing else,” the PoJK leader said. Earlier this month, locals staged intense protests in Muzaffarabad PoJK. Three people died in the violent protests. The protesters called off the protests after the Pakistan government accepted their demands and announced a large relief package. This happened when Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced a Pakistani currency (PKR) 23 billion subsidy package for the people of PoJK.The local leader further alleged that even though they called off the protests after some assurances were given, the administration did not fulfill its promises, a "betrayal" of them. "Now, they have crossed their limits and we are sitting quietly silently. We had withdrawn the protest after some promises were fulfilled," he said. Despite all the damage caused to us, we withdrew our protest. But this administration has not fulfilled its promises to withdraw your protest.''He said, ''They are liars who do not keep their words. They have betrayed us twice, they are running their propaganda machine against us, they are targeting us and attacking us with enemy intelligence agencies. Alleging involvement. This is the beginning of our struggle and we will continue to raise our voice for the people of PoJK.''
