The Speaker asked the Leader of the House to work together with LoP to prevent such events.

The Prime Minister addressed the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, following which the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha was adjourned sine die. Spokesman Om Birla said he recorded 103 per cent productivity.

Birla said that a total of 7 sessions were held during the session for about 34 hours.

During the session, 539 newly elected members took the oath.

The first session also saw the re-election of Om Birla as President and the President's speech.

Birla also informed that 68 members participated in the discussion on the Motion of Thanks for the President's speech.

"Referring to the Lok Sabha Speaker election held on June 26, Birla expressed gratitude for electing him as Speaker for the second time through oral voting," the statement said.

On June 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the Council of Ministers in the House, Birla reported.

The Lok Sabha Speaker informed the House that the discussion on the Motion of Thanks to the President's speech on June 27 lasted for more than 18 hours and 68 members participated in the discussion. In addition, 50 deputies presented their speeches. The discussion concluded with the Prime Minister's response on 2 July. The BJP-led NDA formed its third consecutive government after the Lok Sabha elections. While the NDA won 293 seats, the opposition INDIA bloc won 243 seats.
