New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday urged NDA MPs not to fall prey to misinformation about ministries and departments and claimed that the "India alliance" may also be involved in spreading "fake news" about such issues.

Addressing the NDA parliamentary party meeting, PM Modi said that he does not find much truth in what has been going on TV for the last few days.

"I don't find any truth in what is going on. I said one should ask where they get such information from. Such an opportunity had not come in the last 10 years, hence there would be so much excitement. Some people approach you and say They have high contacts and they will make you a minister… We fall into this trap thinking that this can be a way to become a minister,” PM Modi said.He said that now the technology is such that people can release the list of ministers and even have their signatures on it.

"An intelligent person can also divide the portfolios. A lot of people are busy these days in forming the government, distributing ministries and posts. I request you, those who know Modi know that all such efforts are futile. If you get any calls, verify whether they are from the concerned authority or not,” he said.He said, "So there is an entire army engaged in spreading such rumours. Some people do it out of habit, some do it for entertainment while some do it with bad intentions. I urge all the MPs to stop such rumours. Don't fall victim to conspiracies."

PM Modi alleged that during the Lok Sabha elections, 'Bharat Alliance' has mastered the art of spreading 'fake news' and has done 'double PhD' in it. They will adopt such tactics. We should stay away from such things, stay away from rumours,” he said.

Referring to the senior leaders, PM Modi said that the team sitting there was experienced and they gave them the right advice.

He said, “So the team together will take the right decision.Rest assured that the country will not be governed by breaking news."
