Chouhan said, "Agriculture has always been the priority of the Prime Minister in the last two terms."

“While maintaining complete transparency in registration and verification of beneficiaries, the Government of India has paid over Rs 3.04 lakh crore to more than 11 crore farmers across the country. With this release, the total amount transferred to beneficiaries since the launch of the scheme will exceed Rs 3.24 lakh crore,” the minister said.

Chauhan said that PM Modi will also provide certificates to more than 30,000 self-help groups designated as Krishi Sakhi after the release of the 17th installment of PM Kisan Yojana.

PM Modi began his third term with the release of the 17th installment of the PM Kisan Nidhi on June 10 to underline how much importance his government attaches to farmers.

Launched in February 2019, the scheme transfers an amount of Rs 6,000 annually online in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each into the bank accounts of farmers.

The minister further said that around 2.5 crore farmers from across the country will participate in the program through video. Additionally, 732 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), more than 1 lakh primary agricultural cooperative societies and 5 lakh Common Service Centers (CSCs) from across the country will participate in the program to increase awareness among farmers.

Several Union ministers will also visit 50 Krishi Vigyan Kendras to interact with farmers and raise awareness about various schemes of the department. Chauhan said that he will also distribute certificates to the trained Krishi Sakhis of the area.

After the farmers' conference, PM Modi will visit Baba Kashi Vishwanath Temple and participate in the world famous Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat.
