New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tribute to former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party founder NT Rama Rao on his birth anniversary and said his contribution to films and politics will continue to inspire generations.
In a post on Twitter, Modi said, "Remembering the great NTR on his birth anniversary. He was a remarkable icon of Telugu cinema and a visionary leader. His contribution to films and politics will continue to inspire generations."
"From his unforgettable roles on screen to his transformational leadership, I miss him deeply. We will continue to work to fulfill his vision for our society," the Prime Minister wrote.
Rao, a hugely popular actor, founded the TDP in 1982 to counter the Congress and made it a strong force in the state.
