New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working on a special project of 'one nation, one leader' and claimed that what is happening with AAP is an experiment which other opposition parties are trying to replicate. Will be repeated with the parties also.
Addressing a lawyers' conference organized by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Liga cell, Kejriwal, who is on interim bail till June 1, appealed to lawyers to "save the country".
"I have no personal grudge against Prime Minister Modi. Make sure PM Modi does not form the government again. Lawyers contributed extensively to the freedom struggle.Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Baba Saheb Ambedkar, Moti Lal Nehar - all of them were lawyers.
"There is very little time left. Whatever you can do for the campaign in Delhi and across the country, please participate," he said.
Kejriwal told the gathering that he had not come there to ask for votes, but to appeal to them to "save the country".
He said, “What is happening in the country is dangerous. They arrested me.The Prime Minister is working on a special project 'One Nation One Leader'."
Kejriwal said that opposition leaders who speak against him will be put in jail. He took the names of former Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren, former Delhi ministers Satyendar Jain and Manish Sisodia and himself, who were put behind bars.
He said, “They have put many ministers of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata (Banerjee) in jail. They can also put Tejashwi Yadav or Pinarayi Vijayan in jail.There will be no opposition Chief Minister left. They divided NCP and Shiv Sena into two," he alleged.
The Chief Minister said that in Russia, President Vladimir Putin either puts opposition leaders in jail or gets them killed and wins the elections. Similarly, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina put opposition leaders in jail in Bangladesh and won with majority.
He claimed, "Even in Pakistan, Imran Khan was sent to jail and his party's election symbol was taken away.Something similar can happen here also. Either they will not hold elections or even if they do, all the opposition leaders will be in jail."

Emphasizing that no trace of the money has been found in the excise policy case, he said there is a theory that the money had gone to Goa.
