Ghaziabad (UP), Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held a road show in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh in support of BJP candidate Atul Garg.

In his first road show in the state after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections last month, the Prime Minister was joined by Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath and Garg in an open jeep while Modi waved to enthusiastic supporters.

The road show started from Maliwad Chowk and will end at Chaudhary More.

The district administration has made elaborate security arrangements for the event, including deployment of a large number of personnel and enforcing traffic diversions.

This is the Prime Minister's first road show in Uttar Pradesh after the announcement of Lok Sabha elections.

Despite the scorching heat, the supporters had been waiting on the road since afternoon and were kept engaged by drums and bands.

As the Prime Minister's vehicle moved slowly on the road, people standing on both sides of the road showered flowers on him and raised slogans.
