New Delhi [India], Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted people on the seventh day of the ongoing Chaitra Navratri festival. On the seventh day of Chaitra Navratri, Saptami, 'Maa Kalratri' is worshiped by devotees. In a post on X, PM Modi said, "May the blessings of Maa Kalratri flow in everyone's life with positive energy, this is I wish.

Kaalratri is one of the most fierce forms of Durga. I believe that this form of the Goddess is the destroyer of all demonic entities, ghosts, spirits and negative energies. She helps the devotees to overcome darkness. The nine-day festival, also known as Ram Navratri, ends on Ram Navratri, the birthday of Lord Rama. All the nine days of Navratri are dedicated in honor of the nine incarnations of Goddess 'Shakti'. This year, Chaitra Navratri starts on 9th April and ends on 17th April. During Chaitra Navratri, people also fast and worship Goddess Durga. They also invoke Ghatasthapana, the goddess Shakti, which is an important ritual followed during this period. Navratri also celebrates peace in the form of Mahagauri Mata. The occasion signals warmer days and the beginning of spring. Earlier, many devotees gathered at Chhatarpur temple in Delhi to offer prayers and seek blessings of Goddess Durga.
