Vadodara: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Saturday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was coming up with imaginary ideas about the Congress manifesto to attack the party.

He told reporters here that the situation today is such that "the idea of Indian democracy for which your ancestors fought is in danger."

"Our manifesto is a strong document with a vision of the future. Modi is creating imaginary ideas which are not in our manifesto and is attacking us for that. W can also bring imaginary things about Modi but we do not Are not doing." J said.

He said, "We believe that Modi's own record is quite poor and he has a lot to attack. However, he has nothing to say against us except the hypotheticals about which we Has not made any claim in his manifesto."

Tharoor claimed that the issue of Muslim reservation was raised by the PM but the word "Muslim" was not mentioned in the Congress manifesto.

He said, “They said that we are going to snatch away people's houses and buffaloes and give them to Muslims. There is no such reference in the manifesto. They say that we are going to snatch the mangalsutra and gold and give it to Muslims.

Terming such statements by the ruling party as 'complete nonsense', Tharoor asked them to 'campaign on real issues'.

The Thiruvananthapuram MP said, in some states, Muslims have been included in the OBC category, but it is the policy of the state that the Congress has not advocated for national reservation.
