New Delhi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday criticized Congress leader Sam Pitroda for his 'racist' remarks, saying it exposes the mentality and attitude of Rahul Gandhi's guru.

Indian Overseas Congress chief Pitroda had created a controversy on Wednesday with his comment that 'people in the East look like Chinese and people in the South look like Africans.'

But in one post!

"But, for that racist who is @RahulGandhi's guru, we all look like Africans, Chinese, Arabs and whites! Thank you for exposing your mentality and your viewpoint. Shame on the I.N.D.I alliance!"

In a podcast interview given to a media house, Pitroda had said, "We can keep a diverse country like India together." Where people in the East look like Chinese, people in the West look like Arabs, people in the North probably look like whites, and southern people look like Africans. It doesn't matter. We are all brothers and sisters .We respect different languages, different religions, different customs, different food habits."

Dissociating the party from Pitroda's comments, Congress General Secretary Jaira Ramesh said on Twitter, "The analogies drawn by Shri Sam Pitroda in a podcast to portray the diversity of India are most unfortunate and unacceptable. The Indian National Congress itself Is not free from "...completely falls apart."
