Patna (Bihar) [India], Bihar Congress President Akhilesh Prasad Singh on Wednesday expressed happiness over the 2024 Lok Sabha election results and said that it is a happy moment for him. He also launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that the PM needs to pay attention to issues like reservation and Constitution raised by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

Akhilesh Singh said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi had to answer the question raised by Rahul Gandhi. Be it the question of reservation or the Constitution, he will have to answer everything."

"Uttar Pradesh, which PM Modi and CM Yogi considered as their stronghold, has demolished their myth. People have shown that you cannot remain in power with ego.Achieving the target of 400 Lok Sabha seats remained a distant dream. BJP could not even touch its target of getting 270 seats,'' he further said.

Speaking on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he said, "Six months ago Nitish Kumar used to say that together we will change the course of history. Therefore, he should take a decision. If he comes with us, we will welcome him. Bitterness has to be forgotten and the country A new government should be established in."

Speculations are rife that the Indian faction is trying to woo some NDA allies by springing a surprise.

The counting of 2024 Lok Sabha elections took place on Tuesday. According to the Election Commission of India, the BJP won 240 seats, significantly less than 303 seats in 2019.On the other hand, Congress registered a strong improvement by winning 99 seats. Facing tough competition and defying all predictions, India Block crossed the 230 mark.

In Bihar, BJP led NDA performed brilliantly and won 29 out of 40 seats. BJP and JDU won 12 seats each, while LJP (Ram Vilas) won all the five seats it contested. RJD and Congress won four and three seats respectively.
