Agartala (Tripura) [India], After BJP's victory on both the Lok Sabha seats in Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Saha said that the people have given a "historic mandate" to the BJP.

CM Manik Saha said, "Our party works for the country. PM Modi has worked for the security of the country. He has strengthened our economy. We could not achieve our set target. However, our alliance ( (NDA) is still winning." I want to thank all the people of the country. PM Modi is going to become Prime Minister for the third time, we are winning both the seats.

He further said that in the by-election of 7-Ramnagar assembly constituency, BJP has won by 18 thousand votes.

“In the by-election, we have won by 18,000 votes and in Tripura West we won by a margin of 6 lakh votes and in Tripura East we won by a margin of about 5 lakh votes. I want to thank the voters and the public. " Prime Minister of the country,” he said.

Former CM Biplab Kumar Deb won from Tripura West by a margin of over 6 lakh votes, while in East Tripura, Kriti Devi Debbarman won by a margin of 4,86,819 votes.

Meanwhile, as per the latest trends, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is leading on 293 seats, while the India Bloc is leading on 232 seats, indicating a significant gain for the latter.

The BJP had won a majority on its own in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, winning 282 seats in 2014, and improving its seat tally to 303 in the 2019 elections.

Aiming to win 370 seats in the 2024 general elections, the BJP-led NDA under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is contesting the Lok Sabha elections for the third consecutive time. The elections were held in seven phases from 19 April to 1 June.
