Mirzapur (UP), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said people are seeing the rise of a new India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it is on its way to becoming a superpower.

At an election rally for Mirzapur Lok Sabha candidate Anupriya Patel and Robertsganj parliamentary seat candidate Rinki Kol, the BJP leader said that in the last 10 years, India has secured its borders and achieved new milestones of development.

He said, "Welfare schemes for the poor have been implemented with the motto of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'. PM Modi treats 140 crore Indians like his family and strives to bring prosperity in the life of every citizen. "

Adityanath said, “Under the leadership of PM Modi, people are seeing the rise of a new India which is going to become a superpower.,

Regarding developments in the area, he said medical colleges have been built in Mirzapur and Sonbhadra, while a university will soon be established in the area.

"Previous governments had a narrow mindset and that is why they did not care about development. Modi has provided houses to more than one lakh poor people in Mirzapur under the PM Awas Yojana. People from Kol, Gaur, Chero, Tharu and Musahar communities The members also found houses in Mirzapur and Sonbhadra,” Adityanath said.

Claiming that before 2014, people here used to struggle for every drop of water, he said that in the last 10 years, clean drinking water has been provided to every household under the 'Har Ghar Nal Yojana'.Adityanath alleged that this area became vulnerable to Naxalism due to the policies of Samajwadi Party and Congress.

"They (the opposition) deprived you of development work and allowed gangsters to take control of mining and other resources here. Now, it is time you made them crave for every single vote," he said.

Referring to the redevelopment of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple corridor in Varanasi, the Chief Minister said the place is now attracting global attention in a new way.

“After 500 years, Lord Ram has been installed in his temple in Ayodhya and the Vindhyavasini Dham Corridor project is nearing completion.Now, any Shravan Kumar will not have to carry his elderly parents on his shoulders for darshan because Ropewa is ready,” he said.

Shravan Kumar, a character from the Ramayana, carried his blind and elderly parents on his shoulders and took them on a pilgrimage.
