New Delhi [India], Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports has approved the request for assistance to ace tennis player Rohan Bopanna and his men's doubles partner Sriram Balaji to compete in two ATP Tour events ahead of Paris. Has given. 2024 olympic games.

Rohan Bopanna and Sriram Balaji will compete in ATP 500 events in Hamburg and Umag before flying to Paris with their coach and physiotherapist.

The MOC also approved the request of shooters Rhythm Sangwan, Sarabjot Singh, Vijayveer and Anish Bhanwala for assistance towards expenses related to individual coaches or trainers during the Olympic training camp in Valmerange and the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in Chateauroux. The Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) will cover their flight costs, food and accommodation, visa expenses and local transportation.

Skeet shooters Maheshwari Chauhan and Anantjit Singh Naruka's requests were also approved by the MOC for assistance to train with personal coaches Riccardo Filippelli in Arezzo, Italy and Ennio Falco at Tiro a Volo Falco range in Capua, Italy respectively.

During the meeting, the MOC decided to provide assistance to steeplechasers Avinash Sable and Parul Chaudhary along with their coach Scott Simmons to train in St. Moritz, Switzerland for 24 days ahead of the Olympic Games.

Further approvals include assistance in purchasing equipment for the women's relay 4x400m team and training support for table tennis player Harmeet Desai in Biberach, Germany, including the purchase of consumables and fees for support staff.

MOC has included 400m runner Kiran Pahal, high jumper Sarvesh Anil Kushare and shot putter Abha Khatua in the TOPS core group for the Paris Olympic cycle.
