When I was the district guardian minister, the roads in his circle were was constructed,” said former Maharashtra minister Pankaja.

Notably, Pankaja was defeated by Dhananjay Munde in the 2019 assembly elections. The long-lost cousins are now together because Dhananjay's party, the Ajit Pawar-led NCP, is an ally of the BJP.

Dhananjay Munde, now a minister in the state, said locals want the Beed-Mumbai Vand Bharat Express, and "the elections are for this."
