Chandigarh, Senior IAS officer Pankaj Aggarwal was appointed the Chief Electoral Officer of Haryana on Monday.

"Pankaj Aggarwal (2000 batch officer) has been appointed Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana and Commissioner and Secretary, Election Department," an official statement said.
On July 4, the Haryana government had transferred 12 IAS officers with immediate effect.
In that reshuffle, Anurag Agarwal, who was Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana and ACS, Haryana Election Department, was transferred and posted as ACS Irrigation and Water Resources Department in place of Pankaj Agarwal.
However, the posting order of Pankaj Aggarwal was not issued at that time.
