Bhubaneswar: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said that if the BJP comes to power in Odisha, it will ensure that the missing keys of the gem treasury of Puri's Jagannath temple are found.

Sarma addressed back-to-back election rallies at Brajrajnagar in Jharsuguda Bonai in Sundargarh district, Attabira in Bargarh and Jatni in Khurda district.

"Whenever I come to Odisha, I feel sad because someone has taken the keys of the Ratna Bhandar of the Jagannath temple, even though Odisha is a 'Hindu state'. As per the rules, an inventory of the valuables in the Ratna Bhandar is done every three years. But, forget about the stuff, the key to the gem store is missing from me,” he said.He said, "Naveen-babu is sitting idle, no one knows what Pandian is doing. I don't know whether Pandian is a Hindu or not. If he is a Hindu, he should find the keys to the gem store."

Sarma said that if Pandian could not find the key to Ratna Bhandar before June 10, then BJP would find it after forming the government here.

He said, “No one can do injustice to Hindus because Hindus have built India. Hindus have served the country for 5,000 years and will continue to do so as long as the sun remains.,

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, who also addressed several rallies in the state, said PM Narendra Modi considers 140 crore Indians as his family and works for them 18 hours a day.

"After Modi came to power, women were empowered, Jan-Dhan bank accounts were opened, toilets were built and piped water was supplied to homes," he said.

Sai addressed rallies in Bijepur in Sundargarh district, Birmaharajpur in Bargarh district and Sonpur district.

Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav, who campaigned in Hinjili in Ganjam district, CM Patnaik's home turf, claimed that the BJP is now on track to victory in Odisha.

He said, “The murder of a BJP worker by BJD goons in Khallikote is condemnable. The way BJP workers are being attacked is not good for democracy.'' He demanded strict action against those involved.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Faggan Singh Kulaste claimed in a press conference that the people of Odisha have made up their mind to form a 'double engine BJP government' in the state.

He said, “Once BJP forms the government in the state, the people of Odisha will get employment in local industries."
