Thane: A case has been registered against the owner of his company after an employee died after falling while making a pandal at a hotel in Bhiwandi city of Thane district in Maharashtra. Police gave this information on Friday.
He said that the incident took place at 5.30 pm on Thursday evening in a hotel located in Rajnoli Naka area of the city.
The victim, Naseem Mujeeb Khan, who was building a pandal, slipped from the scaffolding and fell down and died on the spot. The victim's body was later sent to a government hospital for post-mortem, an official said.
He said a case was registered against the contractor at Kongaon police station in Bhiwandi for not providing safety equipment to the deceased and not taking precautionary measures which led to the death of the worker.
