Palghar, A 23-year-old tribal woman allegedly killed her 4-year-old daughter and then committed suicide after a fight with her husband in Palghar district of Maharashtra. The police gave this information on Tuesday.
This incident took place on Monday in Sisne village of Dahanu area.
An official from Kasa police station said the woman's husband, a fisherman, was often away from the family.
On Sunday he returned home and went out with his friends.
The officer said his wife was angry because he did not take her with him and this led to a fight between them.
He said that on Monday the woman allegedly strangled her daughter to death and later hanged herself from the terrace of her house.
After being informed by the neighbors, the police reached the spot and started investigating the incident.
Police said that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
