ISLAMABAD [Pakistan], Petroleum dealers in Pakistan have reportedly threatened to close their doors due to government efforts to loosen price regulations on fuel commodities, ARY News reported on Monday. Speaker Abdul Sam Khan condemned. Anticipated action in a statement, claiming it would increase petroleum product prices in distant places. While the PPDA chief claims that the decision to deregulate fuel prices will result in the country's inflation rate rising, Khan said the government has promised that this will not happen. Despite years of opposition from petroleum traders to implement this law, ARY News reported that the PPDA Chairman however said that despite the assurance, the government has sought suggestions from ECC Abdul Sami Khan about the proposed strategy. Taking the step in an attempt to protect itself from public scrutiny, a few days ago, the Oil Tanker Owners Association announced that it would stop supplying gasoline till April 16 in protest against the "injustice" assessment by the concerned authorities. The association told ARY News that it will stop providing petroleum products to all airports in the country as well as Gilgit Baltistan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
