Kech district is in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. The name of this district was Turbat District which was changed to its older name Kech District.

In a post on Twitter, Baloch Yakjehati Committee (BYC), a Baloch rights organization from Balochistan, said, "Muslim Arif, Fida Mair, Parvez Ghani, Jan Muhammad, Farooq Dad, Shahaq and Naseer Peer were forcibly disappeared in the Long March. Went." Including members of the Bakhsh family as well as other affected victims of enforced disappearances.,

Furthermore, the Baloch organization urged Kech residents to participate in the protests and stand with the affected families of the forcibly disappeared persons.

“Currently, a protest is going on in front of the Deputy Commissioner office (DC office) in Turbat. We appeal to the Baloch nation, especially the residents of District Kech, to be a part of their struggle and stand with the affected families of the forcibly disappeared persons. Request." Baloch Yakzehti Committee added.

Recently, BYC said that cases of enforced disappearances are at a critical point, and the administration's response of giving false promises to peaceful protesters is unacceptable.We strongly reject these empty assurances and demand the immediate release of the loved ones of the protesters.”

The BYC statement said that two protests have been organized in Kech and Turbat against the measures implemented in the area.

According to the statement, Naeem Rahmat, a student enrolled in BA at Turbat University, was in his second semester when he went missing on March 17, 2022. It has been more than two years, and his whereabouts are unknown, disrupting his studies. Causing deep crisis for Shiksha and her family.Since then the victim's family has held several demonstrations and Rahmat is yet to be released. On 10 April 2024, the day of Eid, his family staged a sit-in on the main road of CPEC in Shapuk, Kech. The protest ended when the Deputy Commissioner of Ketch assured them of Naeem's safe release within five days. However, Naeem's whereabouts are unknown, forcing his family to once again stage a sit-in on the CPEC route in Shapook.

Meanwhile, the protest continues in Turbat under the leadership of Uzair Baloch and Nawaz Baloch's family. Uzair, son of Haji Shambe, works as a lecturer at Buleda Degree College and lives in Jusak, Turbat.He was forcibly disappeared by the authorities from his hometown on April 18, 2024. Similarly, Nawaz Baloch, a resident of Buleda Bit, also went missing during a raid by security forces on the same night.

The Baloch nation does not have to remain silent when their loved ones are forcibly disappeared; Instead, they should oppose it. Together we can fight against this oppression. Together we can continue our struggle to end the Baloch genocide.
