Islamabad [Pakistan], According to ARY News, Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has identified several social media accounts used to launch a malicious campaign against Islamabad High Court (IHC) Judge Babar Satar and his family.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) received a 10-page detailed report from the investigating agency on the social media campaign against Justice Babar Satar and his family.

A copy of the study can be accessed at ARY News. It claims that 39 Twitter accounts were used, of which 29 were found to be fraudulent.

According to ARY News, the agency sent ten accounts with fake names to NADRA for verification.

Meanwhile, NADRA has made available information on four of the ten accounts.

The report went on to say that most of the accounts were used to repeat the original content and mentioned that three hashtags, the first of which was created on April 22, 2024, were mainly used in opposition to Justice Babar Sattar.

The report also showed that 155 accounts, of which 124 could not be identified, were used to promote second hashtags against Justice Babar Satar.

The FIA ​​has asked social media company X for details about the accounts that were used to run the campaign, according to ARY News.

The agency discovered 18 accounts that were used to create trending hashtags on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, and six people received notices in connection with the case. These people are Saeed Akhtar, Fahmida Yousufzai, Khawaja Yaseen, Ismail Qasim and Ahsan, the ARY News report added.

It is important to note that once the personal information of Justice Sattar and his family, including their US residency permits, was revealed online, a larger bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) opened contempt proceedings regarding to the case, according to ARY News.

Judge Sattar brought to light the fact that his family members' identity cards and permanent residence documents were leaked on social media, invading his privacy.
