PESHAWAR: Security forces on Monday killed nine terrorists, including key commanders of a banned outfit, in two operations in northwest Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the media wing of the Pakistan Army said.

These operations were conducted in Lakki Marwat and Khyber districts.

Commanders Najeeb alias Abdur Rehman and Ashfaq alias Muawiya were among the seven terrorists killed in the Tirah Valley operation in Khyber tribal district.

In the Lakki Marwat operation, two terrorists were killed as forces targeted a terrorist compound in the area.

The slain terrorists were wanted for various terror activities including attacks on army convoys. A large amount of arms and ammunition were seized from the possession of terrorists.
