ISLAMABAD [Pakistan]: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Pakistan issued bailable arrest warrants for 14 suspects for failing to attend hearing proceedings in two cases related to the May 9 riots, Dawn reported. Justice Arshad Javed ordered the police to ensure the presence of nine suspects in the March 15 Jinnah House attack case and five others in the Askari Tower case. Furthermore, the judge also ordered the suspects to file fresh bail bonds before appearing in court. According to Dawn, the suspects include Ataur Rehman, Abdul Rehman, Ikramullah, Abdul Hadi Amanullah, Ali Hasan, Shahbaz Siddiqui, Rubina Rizwan, Irfan Jamil, Syed Shah Mohsin Gul Aga and Muhammad Parvez. Earlier on Friday, the ATC granted interim pre-arrest bail to former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders Jamshed Iqbal Cheema and his wife Mussarat Iqba Cheema in seven more cases related to the May 9 riots and to join further investigation. Gave instructions.Judge Arshad Javed allowed the bail pleas of Cheema and his wife till May 21, subject to furnishing a surety bond of Rs 100,000. Additionally, he had sought bail in cases of attacks on Askari Tower, Shadma police station, PML-N's party offices and others, Dawn reported. Earlier in February, the couple had surrendered before the court as they were declared proclaimed offenders in several cases related to the May 9 riots. During the riots of 9 May, military installations were attacked.
