Mumbai: Over 60 establishments in Mumbai, including the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), major hospitals and colleges, received bomb threat emails, following which searches were conducted, though nothing suspicious was found, a police officer said on Tuesday. .

He said the emails were received from the same mail ID on Monday and Tuesday.

He said, "The emails received on Tuesday were similar to those received on Monday, which stated that there was a bomb threat at major private, state and civic-run hospitals and colleges across the city."

He said that as the investigation was underway, BMC and other establishments received similar bomb threat emails.

He said, during the investigation, Mumbai Police conducted security checks of those establishments and later found out that someone had played mischief as nothing suspicious was found at all these places.

He said that the process of registering a case against unknown persons is underway at Azad Maidan police station.
