New Delhi: Over 100 industry representatives participated in the pre-bid meeting for the tenth round of commercial coal mine auction, the government said on Friday.

The government has put 67 coal blocks on sale in the 10th round of auction that started last month.

"The Coal Ministry held a pre-bid meeting under the chairmanship of Additional Secretary and Nominated Authority M Nagaraju for the 10th round of commercial coal mine auction to be held on June 21, 2024, with 67 coal mines on offer," an official statement said. Was launched."

A detailed presentation on the auction process was given by the transaction advisor, SBI Capital Markets Limited, while another by the technical advisor, CMPDIL, on the mines to be offered under this tranche on revenue-sharing basis.

The due date for bidding for this tranche of the auction is August 27.

The commercial coal block auction was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June 2020.

Since then, in the last nine rounds, the Coal Ministry has successfully auctioned 107 coal blocks with a peak-rated capacity of 256 MT. So far 11 commercial coal blocks have been commissioned.
