New Delhi [India]: As opposition MPs raised slogans during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Speaker Om Birla repeatedly asked them to sit on their seats and said he has allowed all members of the House to speak. Sufficient time has been given. This behavior should not continue in the next five years.

The Speaker said, "I have given all of you a chance to speak. But the way you are behaving when the leader of the House is speaking is not the way to behave. This is not the culture of the House."

"This is also not in keeping with the culture of the party you represent. This is not going to continue for the next five years," he said.

PM Modi responded to the debate on the motion of thanks on the President's address and repeatedly took a dig at the Congress. He said the party should accept the decision of the people and the BJP-led NDA has won the third consecutive term.

Opposition MPs were raising slogans on the situation in Manipur.
