New Delhi, BJP leader Nishikant Dubey on Tuesday targeted the opposition and accused it of spreading fear and lies.

Participating in the debate in the Lok Sabha on the motion of thanks on the President's address to the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament, the MP from Godda in Jharkhand said all the opposition members mentioned Faizabad, which is the official name of a parliamentary constituency. Ayodhya and insisted that it is a victory for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself.

In the recently concluded general elections, BJP lost the Faizabad seat to Samajwadi Party (SP).

Dubey accused the opposition of trying to sell lies as truth.

He alleged, “I have heard the speeches of all the opposition members. They only spread untruths, misleading and falsehoods.”

The BJP MP said that Congress talks about protecting the Constitution but in reality, it was the opposition party which had changed the Preamble of the Constitution while in power.

He said the Modi government has made changes in the Constitution, but only to abrogate the provisions of Article 370 and protect the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
