Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Noida Police on Thursday arrested four persons of African origin, accused of running a methylenedioxyphenethylamine (MDMA) drug supply syndicate in the Delhi NCR region from their rented accommodation. In a significant action, the Noida Police Commissionerate took action. A pharmaceutical factory was raided under Operation "Prahar". Acting on the instructions of Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh, the operation was a major success as 2 kg and 760 gms of MDMA/Methamphetamine along with raw material was seized from the factory premises. The international market value of the seized MDMA/methamphetamine is estimated to be Rs. Rs 100 crore, while the cost of raw material is around Rs 50 crore.The total estimated value of the seized drugs is Rs 15 crore. Late in the night, Deputy Commissioner of Police Saad Mian Khan conducted a joint operation with SWAT commander Yatendra Kumar, Ecotech in-charge Anuj Kumar and Dadri in-charge. Sujit Upadhyay. During the raid, substantial quantity of MDMA/Methamphetamine and raw material were recovered. Additionally, four persons of African origin were arrested. The visa of one of these persons had expired, while the other two did not have valid visas. Giving details about the operation, DCP Saad Mian Khan revealed that persons of African origin are allegedly involved in a drug supply syndicate operating in the Delhi NCR region.It was revealed that a house in Mathurapur Omicron 1 had been taken on rent a few days ago, where a factory is also setup. Following allegations of drug manufacturing, the alleged syndicate had planned to export the drugs to colleges, universities in Delhi NCR and the North-Eastern states through agents, online orders and shopping channels. Gautam Buddha Nagar DCP Saad Miya Khan told ANI, "We conducted a raid and found an entire drug factory including raw materials. We are also investigating the forward and backward links of the case." “We have asked for their documents and their visas and also asked on what basis their visas were extended."
