Accompanied by Union Minister Jitendra Singh, Nadda inspected the Vijaypur campus of AIIMS and reviewed its facilities and infrastructure, expressing hope that no patient from Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh will have to go to PGI Chandigarh or Delhi for treatment. not anymore.

Seeking cooperation of the people, he said that AIIMS Vijaypur is a gift of the Prime Minister to the people of Jammu.
“Under Modi's visionary leadership, not just healthcare but all sectors have seen immense growth. Modi has brought a new wave of all-round development to Jammu and Kashmir, taking the state forward towards prosperity and growth,” he said.
He said that Prime Minister Modi inaugurated AIIMS, Jammu, in February this year and currently four batches of medical students are undergoing education at the institute.
“The first group started with 50 students and the second and third with 62 students each, while the fourth group consists of 100 students,” he said.
Earlier, addressing a gathering that included students, Nadda said that with the operationalization of AIIMS Jammu, no patient from Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining Punjab and Himachal will need to go to PGI Chandigarh or Delhi for treatment.
Patients will now be treated at this institute, he said, and asked doctors to ensure that the benefits of government schemes like Ayushman Bharat reach common citizens.
He said the Center also plans to digitize the country's health records and “we are heading in that direction.”
