Jaipur: Five people were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly beating up a man and cutting off his nose over an old rivalry in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer district. Police gave this information.
The victim Aban Khan is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Jodhpur.
Jaisalmer Superintendent of Police, Sudhir Chaudhary, said the accused stopped Aban Khan near Sanavada village under Sankara police station on Monday and beat him up over old enmity. They also cut off his nose with a sharp weapon.
Aban Khan's statement was recorded on Tuesday. Based on their statement, the accused – Hayat Khan, Hatiz Khan, Inayat Khan, Dilbar Khan and Pathan Khan – were arrested on Wednesday, the SP said.
