New Delhi: Two teenagers have been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 23-year-old man to death in west Delhi's Khayala area, Delhi Police officials said on Thursday.

The duo allegedly stabbed the man on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, he said.

According to the police, the accused revealed during interrogation that there had been an argument between one of the accused and the victim and they "wanted to teach him a lesson".

A senior police officer said, "A team was immediately sent to the spot. The victim, identified as Lakshya, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead. An FIR was registered and efforts are on to arrest the accused." Several teams were formed for this."

Based on tips received and technical analysis, two teenagers were identified and apprehended, the officer said.

During interrogation, he said that a few days ago there was some argument between the deceased and a teenager due to which they "wanted to teach him a lesson" and hatched a plan.

Lakshya's father told the media that after having dinner at night, someone called him and he left the house.

"He told his mother that he would return after some time. Some boys took him to a nearby road and stabbed him several times with a knife," said Sanjay, the victim's father. He further said that Lakshya had no dispute with anyone.

"His birthday is on July 16 and I was planning to gift him a scooter," he said.
